strength over suicide -
Your voice matters!
Share Your Story of Strength, Hope, and Healing
We all face struggles, and sharing our experiences can bring hope, connection, and healing.
Whether you’re healing from trauma, in recovery from substances, or dealing with depression, we want to hear your story and celebrate your Strength.
Stories can be shared anonymously if you prefer. Every story makes a difference.
Not sure where to start? Here are some ideas to get you going:
How has physical fitness been a part of your journey?
What milestones have you celebrated, or look forward to celebrating?
What’s something you wish your community understood about mental illness, substance abuse, or neurodevelopmental disorders (like ADHD)?
How can the community get more involved to make sure these voices are heard?
We would like to share as many of these stories during the event as possible. In accordance with SAMSHA guidelines for safe communication, we ask that you avoid any descriptions of suicide attempts, traumatic events, or substance misuse. If you experience any mental distress while writing your story, please make use of the 988 Lifeline (just dial 988) to be connected with a professional crisis line operator.
Thank you for being part of this movement for hope.
