Detroit Muscle Gym (DMG), is a strength training/wellness facility that has been part of the Plymouth community since 2017. A few years ago we started a class whose goal was to help build physical and mental strength, and strength of character in our community’s youth. This started as a casual drop-in style class where participants would join us for an hour of challenging physical activity and camaraderie with like-minded kids. We soon grew to the point where we needed to split the class into age groups and decided to implement a progressive strength/fitness program where participants could track their progress and eventually show off their new skills and increased strength. DMG StrongKids (DMGSK) was born and has since helped dozens of kids ages 4-18 develop a wide variety of tangible life skills and build their physical strength and self-esteem. 

In early 2022 class participants and leadership decided to host a friendly, strongman-style competition as a way to showcase and celebrate the hard work of our young athletes. The first annual Michigan Strongman: The Next Generation competition was held in April 2022, and we’re now preparing for the 4th annual to be held on May 31, 2025. We’ve learned so much over the past few years and are planning something bigger and better for our StrongKids this year, including custom kid-sized strongman equipment! To fully support and fund this event, we are looking for sponsors and we’re hoping that you might be interested in helping us give our kids the special platform and attention they deserve.

We are looking for the following donations:

• Monetary donations in any amount, or the following levels:

  • $50 “Sponsor an Athlete” level

  • $100 “sponsor a lane” level - 4 available

  • $200 “sponsor an event” level - 4 available

  • $500 “sponsor of the next generation” level - 1 available

• Donations of age-appropriate goods or services to be included in the participant swag bags and/or the prize packages 

• There will be 25-30 participants total and 12 prize packages (4 each 1st, 2nd, 3rd place prizes total for all age classes)

In exchange for supporting Michigan Strongman: The Next Generation II with your donation, we will:

• all donations:

  • Include your logo and/or business name and social media account in print or social media marketing

• donations with a value of $100 or more:

  • Include your logo and/or business name and social media account in print or social media marketing

  • Print your logo on the back of the competition t-shirt

  • Print your logo on the competition banner which will be hung prominently during the competition and after permanently on the walls at DMG

• donations with a value of $200 or more:

  • Include your logo and/or business name and social media account in print or social media marketing

  • your logo will be printed in a larger size on the back of the competition t-shirt

  • your logo will be printed in a larger size on the competition banner which will be hung prominently during the competition and after permanently on the walls at DMG

• $500 sponsor of the next generation:

  • Include your logo and/or business name and social media account in print or social media marketing, specifying your elite sponsorship level

  • your logo will be the largest sponsor logo, and at the top on the back of the competition t-shirt

  • your logo will be the largest sponsor logo and placed prominently on the competition banner which will be hung during the competition and after permanently on the walls at DMG
