We're Just 6 Weeks Out from Motor City Monsters IV! returns this October with incredible feats of strength, Halloween fun, and one of the Midwest's most exciting strongman competitions.
Hello everyone - we are officially just 6 weeks out from Motor City Monsters IV!
First, thank you! The response to MCM IV has been incredible - for the second year in a row, our initial 80 athlete spots sold out almost immediately, and we're especially excited that, once again, 50% of this year's field is strongwomen!
We're incredibly grateful for the trust you continue to place in us to give you a great competition experience, and we're working hard behind the scenes to make October 10 an awesome day.
You'll hear from us a few more times between now and competition day. We don't want to overwhelm you with everything at once, so today's email covers the things that are most important right now.
EVENT WEIGHTS & RULES

Please take some time to read through the complete rules for all five events, including equipment specifications, start/finish requirements, allowed and prohibited equipment, and judging standards.
We'll continue to post any updates or rules clarifications on Iron Podium, so please check the listing periodically between now and October 10.
As always, if something isn't clear, please ask! We'd much rather answer your question now than have anyone surprised on competition day.
COME TRAIN WITH US @ DMG!
Want to get your hands on the actual competition equipment before October 10? We'd love to have you train with us!
MCM IV athletes can purchase a discounted 5-visit training package for $75 cash ($15/visit; normally $20/visit). Please let Jen know if you'd like to take advantage of this offer.
Individual day passes, weekly passes, and monthly passes are also available through our website: https://www.detroitmusclegroup.com/shop/guest-passes
After purchasing a pass, please follow the instructions to complete the liability waiver and contact us to arrange your visit. If you’ve already completed a DMG waiver in the past, there’s no need to complete another.
SPECTATOR TICKETS
Bring your people! Family, friends, coaches, handlers and supporters are all welcome, and we'd love to have a great crowd there cheering you on.
Spectator tickets are available through Iron Podium: https://ironpodium.com/tickets/purchase/motor-city-monsters-iv. If you're planning to bring people with you, please encourage them to purchase their tickets in advance.
Please note that everyone besides the athletes will need a spectator ticket (kids under 13 are free). We'll send more detailed spectator and competition-day information as we get closer.
CAN'T COMPETE? PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP
As much as we would love to see you all there, we know things happen - injuries, work, life, etc. We currently have athletes waiting for spots in several classes, so if you already know that you won't be able to compete, please let us know as soon as possible. It gives us the best chance to offer your spot to another athlete and helps us finalize classes, equipment and competition-day logistics. Thank you!

MCM IV SHIRTS + DMG SWAG
We're getting ready to place our MCM IV apparel orders! We'll share ordering information shortly for anyone who would like additional MCM gear or DMG apparel.
Pre-order deadline is September 16, so keep an eye out for those details.
WANT TO HELP MCM IV?
Putting on a competition for 80+ athletes takes a lot of people and community support, and there are a few ways you can help if you're interested.
We're currently looking for:
- Volunteers to help us on competition day
- Sponsors interested in supporting the event and our athletes
- Vendors interested in connecting with our strength community
- In-kind support, including products, services, food/beverages, athlete swag, prizes and other event needs
If you own a business, work for a company that might be a good fit, or know someone you'd be willing to connect us with, we'd be very grateful for the introduction.
And if you have friends or family who'd like to be part of MCM but aren't competing, volunteering is a great way to get involved!
